Last weekend DKR Engineering was present for the first edition of the support race of 24 heures du Mans called "Road to Le Mans" in the GT3 category. The car, a BMW Z4 driven by two Dutch drivers Jan STORM and Niels BOUWHUIS was the only one BMW run in that category. We have a good race although the BOP misjudged the capabilities of our vehicle, so our BMW was 15.5 Mph less speed than any other GT3. This is a considerable disadvantage on a fast track like the 24 heures du Mans, so we were forced to take 17th place in our category.
Nevertheless it is important to say that the drivers have been very happy to compete on the famous 24 heures du mans track, furthermore they made race with very promising time.
You can find us next week at the Paul Ricard track and for the 24 hours of Spa Francorchamps with the Blancpain GT championship, the team is responsible for driving a Mercedes AMG GT3, the third car of the team Black Falcon, the number #00, for the next two races.
